The First Look

The first look is when the couple sees each other for the first time before the ceremony. I get some people have dreamt of that first look to be as the bride walks down the the aisle and I respect that. But here are a few reasons why I personally love the first look!"The first look" refers to the moment when the couple sees each other for the first time before the ceremony. While some people may prefer to have this moment during the bride's walk down the aisle, I personally appreciate the benefits of having a first look before the ceremony. Here are a few reasons why I think it's a great idea!

Timeline

If your wedding ceremony is scheduled for a later time, it might be a good idea to have a first-look photo session earlier in the day. This will help to ensure a smooth flow of events throughout the day. If your ceremony is followed by a cocktail hour, having your portraits taken before the ceremony will allow you to spend more time with your guests during the cocktail hour. Additionally, it will enable your photographer to capture candid photos of you and your guests enjoying the reception. This will also prevent your guests from having a break in the day, primarily if your ceremony and reception are held at the same venue. Intimate Mommet

If you are the type who don’t like attention, seeing each other might give you a moment to relax and get some of the emotions out. It also give you your own personal moment to cry, laugh or hear how great each other looks. I’ve even had couple read their vows at this time. This might as well be your only alone time together the whole day. Seeing each other when walking down the aisle is still a very emotional moment, but it might make you feel more relaxed and present in that moment. If you're the type of person who doesn't like to be in the spotlight, having an intimate moment with your partner before the ceremony can be a great way to relax and release your emotions. This private time can give you the opportunity to cry, laugh, or simply admire each other's appearance. Some couples even choose to read their vows during this moment. It may be the only chance you get to be alone together on your wedding day. Although seeing each other for the first time while walking down the aisle can still be a very emotional moment, having an intimate moment beforehand may make you feel more relaxed and present in that moment.

More time with guests

Instead of avoiding each other until the ceremony, you get to spend more of the day together. You can also enjoy cocktails with your guests instead of racing off to take photos.
